Chesterfield Motor Fest

Chesterfield town centre will play host to more than 200 vintage vehicles as the first Chesterfield Motor Fest takes place.

The event takes place this Sunday, 19 August with more than 70 stalls in the market place selling a range of autojumble goods including: engines, machinery, parts, tools and accessories.

With over 200 vehicles expected  – and space for up to 2000 – there will be something for every car enthusiast, including:

  • 1930s and 1940s vehicles outside the Visitor Information Centre in Rykneld Square
  • American classics on Vicar Lane
  • Super cars on Burlington Street
  • A range of cars from the 50s and 60s on the High Street
  • 70s vehicles on the Market Place
  • Buses outside Chesterfield Market Hall
  • Minis, MX5s and 1980s vehicles in New Square
  • A range of four wheel drives in Shentall Gardens (opposite Chesterfield Town Hall, Rose Hill)
  • A range of scooters and bikes on the bottom of the market place.

Councillor Steve Brunt, Chesterfield Borough Council’s cabinet member for town centres and visitor economy, said: “We’re committed to hosting a variety of events in Chesterfield town centre and with more than 200 vehicles visiting, the first Motor Fest looks set to be a fantastic event.

“I hope families will come along, enjoy the fun and boost the local economy by visiting the many shops, pubs and restaurants in the town centre.”
